ANH Structure (hereinafter referred to as ANH), an aerospace company located in Jinju-si, is starting to develop so-called drone taxi seats following civil aircraft seats.
ANH announced on the 9th that it was selected for the Advanced Technology Center Plus (ATC+) project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The ATC+ project is a government project to foster R&D capability improvement support for research institutes affiliated with small and medium-sized enterprises as a key player in corporate growth and industrial innovation.
ANH will develop UAM (Urban Air Mobility) seats for future vehicles by investing a total of 2.86 billion won (2 billion won from the government, 860 million won from the private sector) over the next four years through this project. Unlike commercial aircraft seats, UAM seats must satisfy the performance of absorbing the shock of a vertical drop that is 30 times the weight of a person. ANH has a patent for a lightweight composite shock absorber, and plans to apply this patent to a UAM aircraft where weight minimization is very important. The UAM seat development will be developed by 2024 in cooperation with Hanwha Solutions and Gyeongsang National University.
Previously, ANH has been promoting the “localization of economic-class composite lightweight seats for large civil aircraft” with a total project cost of 4.4 billion won (3.2 billion won from the government, 1.2 billion won from the private sector) since 2019.
Through this project, the foundation has been laid to advance from the existing civil aircraft seats to the UAM seat market.
ANH is in the process of investing 20 billion won in facilities for mass production of interior parts in a factory located in Sabong-myeon, Jinju-si.
Hyunsoo Ahn, CEO of ANH, said, “We plan to start supplying parts to overseas OEMs from the second half of 2022, when the facility investment in the Sabong plant is completed. there,” he said.
“As a leader in the domestic aviation interior market, which is almost barren, all executives and employees are working together to create a ‘K-interior’ boom by introducing world-class interior products.”
